In 2003, ICC created 12 regions to encourage the formation of regional chapters. There are significant benefits for state and local chapters to participate at the regional level. Regional chapters can create stronger, more unified networks of building safety professionals, provide greater political strength when addressing code adoption and code development issues, and deal more effectively with state legislators.
ICC Region VIII was established in 2005 and consist of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. Denny Boss of Tennessee is the current president. We host quarterly meetings, which alternate between the 4 states. Each state is represented on the Executive Board.
The President and Executive Board invite you to join us as members of ICC Region 8. We ask you to look over the benefits of membership, fill out the application appropriate for your organization and join our organization.
